Re-desiginging the Image Politics of Sustainability
From Image Politics of towards Information Governance
By Evert Ypma and Susanne Klaar
The current visual culture of symbols and other forms of representation on sustainability issues seems to be unsustainable itself. The 'green graphic design’ became a symbolic paradoxical jungle. The overload and redundance of bio labels, advertising campaigns, promotional adds, green corporate designs of civic and political bodies, cultural institutions, and corporate enterprises has proven to mark the green era as a highly insecure endavour.
