label_dossier_aDesign and Ethics

Within design practice the ethical dimension of design often has an affirmative character in the form of design ethical manifestos, which mainly serve as operative, woolly calls for designing in a better way, while leaving out any form of checks and balances. Others develop critical imperatives reflecting upon the functional and cultural role of design through imaginary and disruptive design proposals. How can design production and usage be perceived and reflected as ethical?
In this section works, initiatives and links to people and institutions are brought together that question, and foster the debate on the ethical dimension of design.
